WHO AM I? 

Hi everyone! My name is Gema. I know that for many of you I will only be one more member that makes this blog possible, but for those who really want to know me, I will give a brief presentation about myself.

I think that I should start saying that I am studying Primary School Teaching. Perhaps, you will be thinking ‘why this profession and not another one?’ Well, I used to be that kind of girl who didn’t have clear what to be in the future; in fact, I remember when my teacher asked us at school what we wanted to do in the future and I always repeated what my friends said because I hadn't thought about it yet. However, when I realized what paleontologists do, I decided to change my future answer to that question: “I don’t know yet, but I still have time to think about it”.

I live in Alaquàs, a quite village near Valencia, with my mum and my sister. I get along very well with my sister because we are close in age and we understand each other, just as we know we can support each other in every situation. Her name is Laura but we call each other ‘chati’ but that is another story…

In my free time, I like watching series or movies, specifically if they are of suspense or thriller genre, but I also delight comedies or romances. I also love travelling because I find interesting to know other cultures, customs and visit new places. My grandparents have traveled to many countries of the world and my goal is to follow their footsteps. At the moment, I have visited almost every inch of Spain, Paris, Rome and this summer I will visit Lisbon with my father and my sister – OMG, a future English teacher that haven’t visited London yet, I know, I wish I were rich! However, I still have to wait to save some money and plan my next trip.

Finally, I enjoy meeting and doing things with my family, my boyfriend and my friends because I always have fun with them and I think that the more we are, the better we have.

Even though my mother’s family is Valencian and my father is an English teacher, my parents decided to speak to me and my sister in Spanish. So I believe that you will be thinking that my English level is due to going to some Academy or that my father has taught me, or something like that but I have to say no. All my English knowledge is because of myself by watching series in original version, listening to music in English, and because when I get bored I used to search vocabulary on dictionaries – yes, I know, the latter sounds a little weird! But was in this way how I realize that English was my passion, I really enjoyed it.
